Can we survive without eating animals?

I believe the answer to this is yes.

Animals we eat provide important contributions to the ecosystem and land maintenance

  1. The species we eat have an outsized presence because of human breeding. It is uncertain to me that maintenance of this type of ecosystem is better than that of another kind. It is, however, worth considering the life cost of any shifting ecosystem for the bieings in it.
  1. It should be possible to keep these animals being used in service of their non-food roles without having to turn them into food. (Though at the end of natural life, I don’t immediately see an issue with consuming the animal).
