Profound because, since the device can manipulate the image to both your eyes, you get this amazing sense of scale and depth that’s not communicable through regular images. I assume the Quest presents this idea but the screen quality on these is so good that it really is convincing and comfortable. It’s a pretty giddy feeling putting a big movie screen up 100 feet away from you over a lake in Mt. Hood.

Not sure that it’s a useful product for anything other than watching entertainment and working from home right now, but it delivers on a very nascent idea of the future (one that I think Apple hasn’t figured out yet and has delivered in some flawed ways, but one I’ve been optimistic about for a long time)
