Speed of Causality

Speed of Causality

Trying to wrap my head around the centrality of the speed of light

The speed of light is the speed of causality

The speed of light is the fundamental constant on which all physics is based

This means that even though we think in terms of time and space being fundamental units, they are actually only derivatives (or rather integrations?) of the true fundamental unit, the speed of light.

This makes more sense when I try to think of time and space stretching and contracting in order to keep the speed of light constant for all observers in all reference frames.
