Vocabulary

Top 1000 vocab is 85% coverage of all words in Swedish (more or less). This may be a good way to use Anki to buff up spanish vocab (already doing it with Turkish).

Periodic reminders

Hard code a certain interval, and a set a maximum number of cards to be displayed per day. This allows you to have a queue of cards that can remind you periodically, but in a way that is not restricted to being on a calendar schedule.

For example, I have a set of things I want to remember to do about every month (e.g. clean up my notes backlog, check in with my end of year goals, that sort of thing). It doesn’t have to be exactly every month, and they are of equal importance so if I delay doing one, I’m fine with it delaying the others. So I only allow one of those cards to be shown to me on a given day, and when I acknowledge that I’ve acted upon it (by “reviewing” the card), that card won’t be shown to me again for 30 days.

This creates a queue of periodic reminders for that 30 day period, and allows me to avoid crowding my calendar or reminders with “maintenance” style issues that constant reoccur like this (though I do use a note to store and sync these cards: private/Monthly Life Reminders).
