Always be doing just one thing

Maybe Focus and deliberate care are vital and more efficient in the long run than always taking the extra cost to ensure you are doing multiple things.

Perhaps this commitment to focus can also allow for mental benefits to the thought process.

Rebuttal

Always be doing more than one thing at a time. Though not technically mutually exclusive. One could always have a machine managing some other process in the background but remain fully focused on the one thing one is doing right now.
